The Allô Lou adventure map: a lake with Lou the loon, regions for each subject, a lighthouse for stories, a mountain for math and spots for the bonus games.
Lou reads every step aloud No ads. No accounts.
How it works

Real learning, wrapped in a game kids want to play

Every subject is a region on the map. Every level is a short round. Bosses wait at the end of each trail, and the rewards are worth coming back for.

A hands-on lesson: the child taps to make a frog hop along a number line from 8 to 11 while Lou explains counting on.
Learn by doing

Lessons kids do, not just watch

Each lesson step is something to tap: hop a frog along a number line, fill a ten frame, build a word letter by letter. Lou shows the first move and reads each step aloud.

  • A pointing hand shows what to do next
  • Words light up as Lou reads them
  • Moves on by itself when the child finishes
A question on a tablet: 5 plus 4 equals a blank box, with a large on-screen number pad and a bilingual challenge badge.
Made for tablets

Questions that fit little hands

Big buttons, an on-screen number pad and a keyboard with French accents. Questions are read aloud for young readers, and adapt to what each child knows.

  • Answer in French or English and earn a bilingual bonus
  • Help in the other language with one tap
  • Gentle hints, and a lesson when a child is stuck
Pond hockey, one of the bonus games: a beaver in a red tuque aims at the net while Fox the winger skates in front and the goalie waits.
Bonus games

Six games to play after the learning

Pinecones earned in lessons open pond hockey, canoe races, forest tag, sledding, hide and seek and firefly catching. No school questions inside, just play.

  • A season of places and rivals in every game
  • A new twist every day
  • Parents decide how many games per hour
Built for Ontario families

French Immersion or the English program: Allô Lou follows the way your child learns at school, in the language each subject is taught.

Immersion or English

Each subject follows its school language. English program kids get Core French at their level.

Questions

Good to know

When can we get Allô Lou?

Allô Lou is being tested by families now and is coming soon to Google Play and the App Store, for Android tablets and phones, iPad and iPhone.

Does my child need an account or an email?

No. Nobody signs up. A parent sets up the family on the device and picks a Parent Code, then each child picks a secret set of pictures to log in.

What changes between French Immersion and the English program?

When you add a child, you pick their school program. In French Immersion, Grades 1 to 3 are in both languages; from Grade 4, math and English are in English and the other subjects are in French, like at school. In the English program, everything is in English and French is Core French at the child's level. You can change any subject yourself.

Can two tablets share the same progress?

Yes. In the Parent Area, Family link shows a code you scan with your other tablet or phone. Progress is encrypted on the device before it is shared, and only your devices can read it.

How do teachers and tutors use it?

Teachers use teach.allolou.com or teacher mode in the app. A parent links a child to a teacher, chooses what the teacher can see, and can unlink at any time.

How much will it cost?

Every plan starts with a free trial. After that, a family plan for 1 child is $9.99 a month or $49.99 a year. For more children: up to 4 is $11.99 a month or $59.99 a year, up to 5 is $13.99 or $69.99, and up to 6 is $15.99 or $79.99. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and you buy through Google Play or the App Store. It is always free for teachers and tutors. See the plans.
